Walking to find a cure
Walking to find a cure
Story
Please support me in my quest to raise money and awareness for the Motor Neuron Association.
Even though it is only a 2km walk for someone like my dad that is impossible to walk.
At this stage there is no cure for this diesease but by trying to raise funds we are looking at helping the association buy equipment for those in need to make their lives a little bit easier and who knows in the future we may come up with a cure.
Thanks

Motor Neurone Disease Association of Queensland Inc
The Motor Neurone Disease Association of Queensland (or simply MND Queensland) aims to provide and promote the best possible support for families living with motor neurone disease (MND) within Queensland, to support research and raise awareness in our community.
Since 1983, MND Queensland has been supporting people living with MND, their families and those who care for them, through the provision of information, education, support services (including allied health services) and specialised equipment. Today, MND Queensland is committed to supporting Queenslanders who have been impacted by MND, including their families, friends, employers, and workmates.
MND Queensland receives no ongoing government funding and relies heavily on community support to help people with MND to live better for longer. MND is a neurodegenerative disorder which can affect anyone at any time. The most common period is midlife, however it is increasingly affecting younger people, and can affect both men and women. For a person being diagnosed with MND, it could mean the progressive loss of the use of their limbs, their ability to speak, to swallow and to breathe, whilst their mind and senses usually remain intact. The effects of the disease are rapid, debilitating and terminal. Currently there is no known cause or cure.
Please help us support people living with MND. For more information: www.mndqld.org.au, Phone 07 3372 9004, Email: info@mndqld.org.au
